Rue symbolizes regret and warnings to others in the Victorian Language of Flowers. However, it's also said to symbolize atonement and virtue, perhaps as a result of regret. Rue's warnings, however, refer to warning another person of their transgressions, rather than preparing oneself for the consequences of action. It's also used in healing magick, both physical and emotional, and to protect against evil and other witches' magick.
Rue's side effects can include blisters, itching and burning on the skin if touched. While many sip on rue tea for health benefits, like easing symptoms of arthritis, nervousness and MS, in large doses, the herb can cause stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, problems breathing and fatality. Do not ingest this oil; do not touch and do not burn. This oil is best used as a curiosity item and with witchcraft tools that will be buried, dissolved or washed away.
This plant may be restricted in some countries. Please check whether you can legally buy and own this plant before purchase.
Our .5 oz bottles include fractionated coconut oil and dried, rue stems and curled leaves. Store in a cool place not exposed to hear or direct sunlight for ideal shelf live. Stored in this manner, it will last around six months (but we recommend you use it sooner).
