White Witchcraft is a term in the craft used to denote the kinds of witchcraft employed for "good": healing, cleansing, spellwork to aid others with pure intention, and to aid ourselves in achieving spiritual connection and Otherworldly wisdom. It's also referred to as "high magic" (the alternative being "low magic" or black magic). Within this perspective, much magic is practiced throughout the ages has a "high magic, white magic" purpose, including the practices performed by the cunningfolk saught out by the village.
Our White Witchcraft Kit is a curated collection of white-palette offerings that support the above intentions, while also providing you with a bit of historical cunningfolk witchcraft associated with high magic. The kit features:
- White Witch Oil: This oil blends jasmine and datura (poison) with peppergrass, and snowdrop, designed for a variety of White Witchcraft needs: protection, spiritual connection (notably to the moon and moon deities), faerie magic, and power.
- Moonflower seeds: Enhance your garden with moonflower, otherwise known as morning glory. This is the safer version of datura, which is also known by the same name. Here, we can use the moonflower (and its seeds, if we prefer to work with them instead) as a correspondence to power and protection, and moon magic. Note: moonflower (morning glory) is mildly toxic.
- Spring Sachet: Our sachet contains beautiful optical calcite (wisdom and universal connection); scolecite (Otherworld communications for decision-making); desert rose selenite (obstacle-removal and practicality); and selenite (crossroads work, connecting to The Triple Goddess, psychic awareness) for some added gemstone power. Add to this scabiosa, hydrangea, peppergrass and Queen Anne's lace for soft, all-encompassing high cottage magic.
- Selenite Fairy Point: Conjure the fae in your bird baths, altars or crystal grid with our selenite point, which features the fae engraved in its stone. Use this stone to call upon the fae and to strengthen your feminine spiritual connection.
- Our classic 3 x 5 card is included, with White Witch spells including healing, cleansing, a bit of hexing, and ointments. This card also shares a bit of tradition with its discussion on cunningfolk.
