Yule, or Dec. 21, is the winter solstice, which held and still holds great spiritual meaning. To the Celts, the year began with the winter season, and it gave way to warmth and sunlight, just as life begins in darkness before it comes to light. We celebrate the longest night of the year on this day, and it's considered a liminal time, perfect for magick.
But winter is more than just Yule. During this season, we spend time inside, in reflection and in solitude, taking rest. For some, this may mean settling down with a good book and a warm tea; for others, it may mean learning about ourselves and perhaps growing spiritually through our craft.
